Forex MegaDroid Purchase Review

We just bought Forex MegaDroid. The purchase process was pretty easy. There were no extra “upsells” or confusing hoops to jump through.

I was a little annoyed that I had to enter my phone number after the sale in order to get to the download page. After all, are they planning on calling me? And if so, what for? I entered a bogus number because I didn’t want to risk having to answer telemarketing calls. Ugh.

Download Forex MegaDroid

On the download page, they give two options for downloading:

Each of the 3 files individually
All 3 files in zip format

It doesn’t really matter which way you do it. I downloaded the zip file, and unzipped them to my desktop.

Of course, this is a MetaTrader 4 platform robot. That means you will have to use a broker that uses MetaTrader 4 for it’s trading platform. Not too difficult to find, but you really need to make sure you find a good forex broker for this. Forex MegaDroid does suggest “We personally like ForexMeta as they are extremely helpful, they do not penalize robot users (unlike some brokerages) and they normally offer a minimum of one good cash bonus for people requesting a live trading account, however, you are free to use any MetaTrader 4 broker you wish.”

The truth is that they might have an affiliation with that brokerage and will earn some money by referring people to them. I suggest doing the research and finding your own broker that YOU like.

Install Forex MegaDroid

Some robots have and automatic install, or a one-click install procedure. Not Forex MegaDroid. Here is the process to install Forex MegaDroid:

Put files on desktop.
Follow the Install Manual instructions.
Put the .ex4 file into the Experts folder of your MetaTrader software
Put the .dll file into the Experts/Libraries folder of your MetaTrader software

That’s all there is to installing Forex MegaDroid. The user manual is quite well done, and very easy to follow. Even if you have no experience with computers or Forex, it should only take you 5 to 10 minutes to install this robot.

Using Forex MegaDroid

The creators of Forex MegaDroid specifically state that it must be used ONLY on EUR/USD pair, and that it performs best on the one hour charts. This is pretty common for robots. Most robots are only evaluated and created for a single pair, or a limited few pair. This tells us that the program has been curve fit for only a single pair to achieve its great results.

Also, they tell you that you can perform your own backtesting, but give you specific procedures to follow. Basically, if you don’t follow their specific procedures, chances are you won’t get the results they tell you they got.

We have decided not to do any backtesting, because to be quite honest, backtesting doesn’t matter. Testing it LIVE and forward does!

So, we have installed Forex MegaDroid and enabled it. We are using the default settings on the EUR/USD pair with 1-hour charts, as recommended by the creators.
